The BBC has announced casting for Charlotte Regan’s debut TV series Mint, produced by House Productions (Sherwood, Conclave, The Iron Claw) and indie film producers Fearless Minds (The Critic, Soulmates) for BBC iPlayer and BBC One.
At the centre of Mint is Shannon (Emma Laird – The Brutalist, Mayor of Kingstown), the naïve and fiercely romantic daughter of the area’s dominant crime family. Shannon is searching for love in the shadow of her gangster father, Dylan (Sam Riley – Firebrand, Rebecca), devoted mum Cat (Laura Fraser – Patience, Breaking Bad), older brother Luke (Lewis Gribben – Somewhere Boy, Black Mirror) and the family matriarch, grandma Ollie (Lindsay Duncan – TrueLove, Sherwood).
